A part of the ecoSTEP program, Ledalite’s 2’x2’ Pique, PureFX, Vectra, and Voice recessed product families are now available with the new 25W Philips Energy Advantage lamp.  This enhanced combination of high performance MesoOptics ™ and efficient lamping dramatically boosts fixture efficiencies as high as 87% and provides significant energy savings while enhancing the quality of the luminous environment. Applying ecoSTEP combinations means using fewer luminaires with wider spacing between fixtures, 68% less mercury content, and  delivering energy savings of 25%-35%. London Designers Unveil Concept for 2012 Olympics:
The Cloud: Inflatable, Light-Emitting Spheres

A team of leading architects and engineers has unveiled designs for The Cloud–a landmark structure to commemorate London’s role as host of the 2012 Olympics. The lightweight transparent tower, composed of a “cloud” of inflatable, LED-light-emitting spheres, would create a spatial, three-dimensional display in the skies of London, fed by real time information from all over the world.
